Most people are walking around disagreeing with themselves without even realizing it.
The disconnect between what the mind narrates and what the body feels is a huge energy drain. Like a car driving around with the parking brake slightly on. Everything still works. It just costs more than it should.
Conscious connected breathing is one of the few things that reliably connects your whole system. It works by dropping below the story and letting your whole being transfer energy back and forth.
The way it works
They're a team. But one of them needs to go first. When they're working together, decisions take less effort. Less second-guessing because you trust the source of the answer. Yourself. You stop outsourcing your knowing to anyone else.
That's connection. And it builds slowly, session by session, the way trust builds in any relationship.
Spend five minutes being still. No agenda. No trying to feel anything specific. Just sit still and notice how your body feels. If your mind starts narrating, this is weird, nothing is happening, I should be doing something, it's fine. Let it ramble. Underneath the narration, there's usually something waiting.
I listen to my body.
