How to Set an Intention

Setting an intention is a powerful way to bring focus and clarity to your actions, whether you’re beginning a breathwork session, meditation, or even starting your day. Here’s a simple guide to setting an intention:

1. Find a Quiet Space

Before you set your intention, take a moment to pause. Find a quiet, comfortable space where you can reflect without distractions.

2. Take a Few Deep Breaths

Ground yourself by taking a few deep, slow breaths. This helps you calm your mind and connect to your body, creating space for clarity.

3. Reflect on What You Want to Achieve or Feel

Ask yourself:

  • It’s a week from today what has to have happened, both personally and professionally, for you to feel happy about your progress?

Future achievements are Goals; Your Intention is a Focus On Becoming The Person Capable Of Reaching Those Goals Automatically.

The intention can be as simple as a single word like “peace,” “clarity,” or “gratitude,” or it can be a short phrase like “I am open to new possibilities” or “I release what no longer serves me.”

4. Make it Present and Positive

Your intention should be positive and focused on the present moment, as if it’s already happening. Instead of saying, “I will be less stressed,” try something like, “I am calm”

5. Repeat and Focus on It

Once you’ve set your intention, repeat it silently or out loud. During your practice or throughout your day, return to this intention whenever your mind starts to wander or when you feel distracted.

6. Let Go of Expectations

After setting your intention, let go of any attachment to specific outcomes. Trust that your intention will guide you, and stay open to whatever unfolds.

By setting an intention, you bring a deeper sense of purpose to your breathwork and life, making your actions more meaningful and aligned with your inner desires.
